This Privacy Policy explains how Magic Beans, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit our website (playmagicbeans.com) and when you use any of our mobile applications and services (collectively, the "Services"). We are committed to your privacy and aim to collect and use only the information necessary to provide safe, enjoyable, and personalized experiences.
Relationship Between This Policy and In-App Privacy Policies
Some of our mobile applications present their own in-app privacy policy that describes the specific data practices for that application. Those in-app policies are tailored to the features and data requirements of each product. If there is any conflict between this website privacy policy and an in-app privacy policy, the in-app privacy policy will govern your use of that application. This policy provides a general overview of our privacy practices across all of our Services.

Information You Provide
Depending on the Service you use, you may provide us with information such as your first name, age or date of birth, birth time, birth place, or other personal details needed to personalize your experience. Some of our apps may also capture voice audio during interactive sessions, and we may automatically record and transcribe those sessions. You may also provide information when you contact us directly, for example by email.
Information Collected Automatically
When you use our Services, we may automatically collect technical and usage information such as device identifiers, session metadata (including date, time, and duration), and basic connection details. We do not collect GPS location, advertising identifiers, or tracking identifiers. Our device identifiers do not personally identify you and may reset if you uninstall and reinstall the app after a device reset. When you visit our website, our servers may receive basic technical information such as your browser type and device type, but we do not use this information to identify you as an individual.
On-Device Processing
Some of our apps perform calculations or process certain data entirely on your device. When this is the case, that raw data (such as birth information used for astrological calculations) is stored locally and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. Only derived or summary data (which does not contain your raw personal details) may be shared with our partners to deliver your personalized experience. The specific details of what is processed on-device are described in each app's in-app privacy policy.

Our team and trusted partners may review session recordings and transcripts to improve conversation quality, support safety, and resolve issues. If an app offers a feature that provides continuity between sessions (such as remembering context from a prior session), you can enable or disable that feature within the app's settings.
3. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with trusted service providers and technology partners that help us operate our Services. These partners may include artificial intelligence providers, cloud infrastructure providers, mapping services, and similar vendors.
During interactive sessions, our AI partners may receive information such as your first name, relevant personal or derived data, your voice audio (streamed in real time), a device identifier, and session metadata. Our AI partners process your audio and data to generate responses, and they may retain conversation recordings, transcripts, and associated metadata on their servers in accordance with their own data retention policies.
All in-app purchase transactions are processed directly by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information.
We may also share information if we believe it is required by law, regulation, legal process, or a government request, or if sharing is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, our company, or others. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the commitments described in this Privacy Policy or a successor policy that provides comparable protections.
4. Voice and Audio Data
Some of our Services involve interactive voice sessions. When you participate in a voice session, your microphone audio is streamed in real time to our AI partners to enable the experience. We do not use your voice audio to create voiceprints, biometric templates, or any form of biometric identifier. Voice audio is used solely for real-time speech processing and generating responses. Conversation audio recordings may be retained by our AI partners on their servers. Residents of jurisdictions with biometric privacy laws should review the relevant AI partner's privacy policy for details on how voice data is processed and stored. The specific AI partner for each app is identified in the app's in-app privacy policy.
5. Children's Privacy
We take children's privacy seriously. Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Some of our apps are designed for use by adults, including adults interacting with the app alongside or on behalf of children. In those cases, the adult is responsible for the interaction and any information provided. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. 6. Your Rights and Choices
We want you to feel in control of your information. Depending on the app you use, you may be able to view, edit, or delete the personal data stored on your device, delete individual session recordings, and enable or disable features that share data between sessions. Uninstalling an app removes all locally stored data.
Because our AI partners may independently retain conversation recordings and transcripts on their servers, uninstalling an app does not remove data held by those partners. To request deletion of data held by our partners, please contact us at hello@playmagicbeans.com and we will facilitate the request on your behalf.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us.
7. Data Retention and Security
Data stored on your device (such as personal details, settings, and recordings) remains there until you delete it or uninstall the app. Data retained by our AI partners and service providers (such as conversation recordings, transcripts, and metadata) is retained in accordance with their respective data retention policies. Session authentication tokens and similar ephemeral credentials are not persistently stored.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect your information. API credentials are stored server-side and are never embedded in our apps. All network communications use encrypted connections. However, no system can be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that your information will be protected against all unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
8. International Data Transfers
If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that your data may be transmitted to and processed on servers located in the United States or other countries. By using our Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our Services, or applicable laws. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and post the revised policy on our website.
